SENIOR CIVIL/WATER RESOURCES ENGINEER - Mongolia

We require a Senior Civil/Water Resources Engineer for upcoming projects based out of our Mongolia office (Ulaan Baatar).  This challenging position is a unique opportunity for a Civil/Water Resources Engineer with 5 to 8 years’ experience to manage and supervise projects involving engineering design and construction supervision for water supply and mine dewatering systems, mine water management and surface water management.

As a successful applicant, you will become part of our client focused team that helps:

  • our clients achieve their goals by solving the water and environmental constraints on their business (developing secure water supplies, dewatering, responsible water management strategies).
  • us to achieve our own business goals (technically robust solutions; target commercial returns and sustainable client relationships). You will also be responsible for developing our Engineering business in Mongolia.

Your technical skills as a civil/water resources engineer are important; you will have practical experience and a strong career to date.  Previous design experience is essential.  Construction supervision and contract management experience would be well regarded but is not essential.

You will have good communication skills (written and verbal), commercial acumen and project management experience.  You will enjoy the challenges of different cultures and work in remote locations in an environment that emphasises on-the-job mentoring and rewards initiative and the ability to take responsibility.  You will be committed to our (and our clients) business goals.

The position will be based out of our Ulaan Baatar office in Mongolia, with occasional trips to our head office in Perth, Western Australia.
